”Chinese Virus”
Communications from friends in China who are professors clearly show me just how deep the resentment is over there about Trump's comments about the ”Chinese virus.”
Jason Michael Canon to Steve Kelman: That is a pathetically shallow perspective. The world operates on science and facts. Not superstitions. The virus started in Wuhan, China. It’s neither good or bad, it’s a fact just like 1+1=2.
Steve Kelman to Jason Michael Canon: Clearly the facts are the facts but how we label then is our choice. Although we are not as sensitive as on these issues perhaps as China, I don't think the reaction in America would be great if we had some disease that started in the US and spread to the rest of the world, and then the Chinese call it the American virus.
