The little-known history of the Bunker Hill monument from the Revolutionary War

Just reading that the Bunker Hill monument in Boston, at the site of the first major battle of the American War of Independence, took 20 years to build and repeatedly ran out of money, finally completed after most of the battle site was sold off as housing lots.
