 There was a full page ad in today's Times from Albertsons, a major supermarket chain, and the United Food and Commercial Workers union. The ad noted that the company is giving its checkout employees an extra $2 an hour in appreciation pay as well as sick leave benefits for people diagnosed with Corona virus and plexiglass protection at cash registers. Nice!
